Hope Aid Unite's purpose is to bring hope, relief and change to displaced and suffering women, girls and the men standing with them.
UNHCR fights for safety, dignity and opportunity for women and girls in Afghanistan and surrounding countries such as Iran. UNHCR is working hard to deliver life-saving aid, from safe shelter to cash assistance, to as many displaced Afghans as possible. With its sister agencies, UNHCR is also lobbying the de facto authorities to reverse the ban on female NGO workers, and to grant women and girls the same fundamental rights as their male peers.

The majority of funds raised by Australia for UNHCR are directed to UNHCR’s emergency operations, providing the ready funds and resources to respond quickly and effectively in situations of crisis and disaster.
