Our Promise
Together we will provide life-changing support for the millions of refugees who were left with no choice but to flee their homes and seek protection.
Supporters like you help ensure we are, in every sense, a refugee-focused organisation. We are also dedicated to treating you with the highest level of care and respect, through our promise and alignment to our Values:
To be accountable
We use your funds responsibly to support millions of displaced people each year while maintaining transparency and integrity in everything we do. With every dollar spent on fundraising and administration, Australia for UNHCR raises $3.50 to support UNHCR’s international humanitarian programs.
We are committed to providing you with timely updates on the difference you’re making through publications including our Annual Report and With You magazine.
To be collaborative
We respect, trust and support each other. By working together, we can help UNHCR’s emergency teams respond within 72 hours of a crisis and provide long-term care to meet the evolving needs of displaced people across the world.
To be inclusive
We embrace diverse perspectives and value each person’s unique background, skills, and experiences. We encourage you to share ideas and feedback to help us improve the vital support we provide to people forced to flee.
To be ambitious
We strive for growth and continuous improvement to ensure we have the knowledge and skills needed to provide you with the best experience as a valued supporter and help UNHCR deliver refugee protection, emergency aid and long-term support.
